RETA Conference 2023

Uncategorized / October 31, 2023

The Refrigeration Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA) is a vital part of the industrial refrigeration industry. The mission of RETA is to advance the professional development of industrial refrigeration operators and technical engineers. RETA chapters encourage and mentor refrigeration technicians. They offer tutoring and study opportunities to prepare for the RETA certification exams including the CIRO, CARO, and CRES. These certifications are a huge accomplishment for refrigeration techs because they provide proof of their knowledge and skill and promote consistent and safe operation of important refrigeration systems.

Industrial refrigeration is a dangerous job! Refrigerant gases are highly pressurized. Some are toxic while others are flammable. All have the potential to be immediately dangerous to the life and health of the people working in the facility. RETA certified technicians play a key role in monitoring systems for refrigerant leaks. They are responsible for choosing, installing, maintaining and responding to gas detectors. CTI respects and honors the important people who play this role.

Every year, RETA sponsors a national conference where refrigeration technicians come to learn, study, take the certification exams, cheer for one another, and discover the latest new technology in the field. CTI never misses the RETA conference! In fact, for the past 4 years, CTI has been a Diamond Level Sponsor. We’ll be in Jacksonville at Booth 508. We invite every technician to stop by our booth to meet our team, receive a free pocket knife, register for a prize drawing and preview our new Wingman portable Ammonia Gas Detection. We hope to see you at the 2023 RETA Conference in Jacksonville, Florida!
