CTI Supports IIAR International Efforts

Uncategorized / June 20, 2022

CTI is a strong partner and member of the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration. We share the vision of IIAR which is to create a better world through the safe and sustainable use of natural refrigerants. CTI also supports IIAR’s international mission which is to provide advocacy, education, and standards for the benefit of the global community in the safe and sustainable design, installation and operation of ammonia and other natural refrigerant systems.

The IIAR suite of standards has long been accepted in the US and Europe as the authoritative guideline for the design and installation of ammonia refrigeration systems. We are encouraged and excited to see this acceptance grow in other governments world-wide. Recently, the governmental regulatory agencies of Chile, Costa Rica, and Colombia have recognized IIAR standards in their regulatory documentation.

CTI is poised and ready to assist industrial refrigeration contractors and end-users in Central and South America in understanding and complying with the IIAR standards regarding ammonia detection. As part of that effort, CTI teams will be traveling to Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia to participate in conference and training programs this summer. We attended a conference in Brazil in March. We’ll be in Costa Rica in June and Guadalajara in August.
